AKU Pilgrim GTX HL Brown Combat Boot High Leg is a true multi-purpose highly breathable and waterproof combat boot with outstanding support, stability and impact absorption and has proved to be very popular with the Armed Forces, Police and Security.

Much lighter than traditional all leather Army boots the AKU Pilgrim Features the AIR8000 ballistic side material, has a Gore-Tex lined inner and black Vibram sole, which is specially treated to be more resistant to oils, chemicals and acids. This use of part leather and part man made materials makes the Pilgrim Boot much lighter than traditional military style boots.

Manufactured in Europe by Italian bootmaker AKU Boots, the Pilgrim HL GTX performs well in demanding and dynamic conditions. This boot is a High Leg version of the lower version issued to dismounted personnel in the British Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.

AKU GTX high leg boots in UK Military brown

I bought a pair of hi-leg AKU GTX from Uniformstores - who at the time gave the best description/photos of these excellent 2020 new model boots used by the British military which come with free postage. The GTX stands for Goretex. Uniformstores where the first to get the newer model boot as far as I could research online and the price was the same as the earlier model still being sold by competitors. These boots are better than issue ones in my opinion and look & support better with the HL. Rapid delivery; no problems.
